The purpose of the group video project was to create a self video that represents oneself, without any verbal communication. Once the self video is created, it’s time to collaborate with group members to make a non verbal video on a specified topic. The topic that was chosen for our group representation was separation. The project required students to team up with three other individuals in the classroom.  Having the capacity to team up with other peers allows us to build skills that will benefit all of us in the long run. Working as a group can always be difficult as everyone has a different work ethic and creative process. Especially when having to create a video without verbally expressing its concept. The most truly rewarding part of this semester was creating a personal website. Creating a website is a great way to stand out from other individuals who are competing for the same job. A personal website displays ones work as a portfolio, a contact page for employers, and a bio page. With a personal website one can link their other accounts though it such as a blog, a twitter account or LinkedIn. A personal website allows recruiters to find candidates more easily and is more dynamic than a resume. The process of creating a website is super tedious. First, since this website is going to reflect work that has been done throughout the college process it is important that one picks 10 pieces they would like to share on their website. These pieces can range from research papers, artwork, videos to blog posts.
